One-line definition
An FLR is a relationship structure with a woman in the leading role, ranging from household decisions to full power exchange.
Full definition
FLR describes a relationship’s standing structure rather than a single scene: who decides, who serves whom, and how power flows through daily life. Communities often grade FLRs by depth, from the woman holding final say in defined areas up to arrangements approaching TPE. It overlaps with Femdom but starts from a different place: Femdom is a style of dynamic, while FLR is a system for a whole relationship.
Common misconceptions
”FLR means the man is mistreated.”
An FLR is a structure both adults chose, and the satisfaction runs both ways. Domination without consent isn’t FLR; it is abuse.
”FLR always includes BDSM play.”
Not necessarily. Some FLRs are purely about decision rights and the division of life, with no scenes at all.
