One-line definition
Exhibitionism is arousal drawn from being watched. Consenting audiences and legality are its non-negotiable boundaries.
Full definition
The thrill lives in the watching relationship itself: exposure, being seen, the tension of possible discovery. Kink ethics draws one uncrossable line here: the audience must be a consenting audience. Exposing yourself to unwitting strangers isn’t kink at all; it is sexual harassment and a crime. That is why the practice lives at play parties, in private spaces, in paid content, and inside relationships where everyone has opted in.

- vs. Public Play. Public play is about running a scene where others may be present; exhibitionism is about being watched as the source of arousal itself.
- vs. Voyeurism. Two sides of one coin: the watcher needs someone to watch, and the watched needs an audience. Consenting pairs often satisfy both at once.
