One-line definition
A debrief is the post-scene conversation reviewing feelings, limits, surprises, likes, and adjustments for next time.
Full definition
Where aftercare stabilises someone, a debrief evaluates the scene. It usually happens hours or days afterward, once the emotional dust has settled, and covers what felt good, what crossed closer to a limit than intended, anything unexpected, and what both sides want to change. Regular debriefs are how a dynamic actually improves; skip them and the same near-misses tend to repeat.
